Jealous??

Yep, this is the beach...about 15 minutes away from where we live. All I have to do is go to the beach and I forget everything I don't like about this city...I will take more pictures too, promise! All I had was my phone camera this day.

The cat's out of the bag!

This is Felix!

He is not a new addition, I just never told anyone about him. When we went to pick up our rabbit friend Bosco, Felix came home too! The only reason we agreed he could come home with us is because he only has part of his tail. Nothing happened to him, he was just born like that. Both of his parents were like that. Unfortunately he moves around so much I can't ever get a picture of it but I will and I will post it...it is very cute!

So that is him now but this was him when we brought him home; such a sweet kitten!

Now he is a hellion! Always getting into trouble and doing naughty kitten things. But he is very entertaining too...

So, that's it I swear! I have no other secrect pets and no intentions of getting any more!!

Here we go again...

Everyone meet Leroy!

Leroy was a stray found by a woman I work with. She took him in and tried to find his owners but could not. She gave him to a guy I work with but after a while it didn't work out so I told him I would take him. I was thinking I would be better able to find him a good home because I could be objective about his temperament and behavior and I could even try to correct any issues. Also I would take the time to meet people and visit homes.

Well, as you can see, once he came to our home we fell in love! And so did Bella! She loves, loves, loves to play with him and I think he really enjoys her too. That was the most important thing. He did chase the cats at first, but with some work that has mostly stopped, he only does it sometimes when he's excited or they run first. Abby really didn't like him in the beginning and hid under the bed for a few days, but now she's returned to her perch on the back of the couch and that was what clinched it - Leroy had a permanent home!

As far as what breed he is we have no idea, but the consensus is Chihuahua/Cocker Spaniel mix. He is completely black with beautiful brown eyes. He was already fixed and the vet said he is probably 1 year old. He really is a good boy, no horrible habits or behavioral problems. He's way better mannered than Bella, especially on the leash. He walks right next to me while Bella darts around crazily. I tell Bella she better watch out he makes her look bad!!

The pictures above are from his first trip to the dog park with Bella, and here they are in their Christmas sweaters. Neither one wanted to sit still and pose pretty - they wanted to run around like idiots and wrestle!

And I swear this is the last animal for a long time :)
